Happ’nen, Today (HDD) – WAS HE, OR WASN’T HE–THAT IS THE QUESTION: Heckery Dekkery Dot Travel Game Postcards for Children

Happ’nen, Today (HDD) – Was he, or wasn’t he–that is the question: He was baptized on April 26, 1564, which was customarily celebrated 3 days after the birth of a child, but there is no actual record as to the exact day William Shakespeare was born. He did die on April 23, however, in 1616 in his hometown of Stratford-upon-Avon.

You can learn more about William Shakespeare at Britannica Kids online.

Some other things happened on this day, too. Take a look at “This Day in History” now if you have a few minutes. Tomorrow, it will be history!
